Illinois Medicine Curriculum - Curriculum Map

The UI COM curriculum map shows how course objectives across our curriculum are aligned with our Medical Education Program Objectives (MEPOs, which is currently the Physician Competency Reference Set - PCRS). Our current curriculum map is hosted in Airtable and will eventually transition to Acuity as part of the TOP-ED initiative.

There are several “views” or formats of the curriculum map. These views can be accessed via separate URLs listed below. UI COM faculty, staff, and students are also welcome to create a free Airtable account with their UIC email to access a more comprehensive view of the curriculum map

Student Curricular Board Information & Resources

SCB Tri-Campus Reports

Student Curricular Board (SCB) members work closely with faculty and administration to provide feedback on every course in the UICOM curriculum. SCB representatives from all three campuses meet throughout the year to draft tri-campus reports for each Block Course and Core Clerkship. Tri-campus reports are brief reports that outline key recommendations that represent consensus from all three campuses. Typically, these reports are 1-2 pages in length and serve as an appendix for the campus-level course report. Course leadership is then asked to provide a formal response to the tri-campus report during their annual course review reporting process.

UI COM community members can see the tri-campus reports and accompanying response on the following Sharepoint site: Student Curricular Board Tri-Campus Activities (please note you must be signed into your UIC Microsoft 365 in order to view)

Student Curricular Board Data Access

SCB representatives who work on course reports may receive access to course evaluation data from the Office of Educational Affairs. Please see Data and Reporting for more information.
